Médéa on July 8th 2020

The UNFPA Algeria Office in partnership with AKOUAS Association for youth  talents have jointly visited the hospital of Médéa, where they donated kits of PPE personal protective equipments for medical teams, delivery kits and hygienic products for the obstetrics and gynecology service, which records nearly 11,000 deliveries per year, covering neighboring wilaya such as BLIDA, TIPAZA and Ain-Defla.

This donation is a part of solidarity actions that aim to strengthen the national response to the COVID19 pandemic.

The UNFPA Algeria team was received by the director of the hospital and the competent medical team and has warmly welcomed the bravery and sacrifice of the medical personnel to face this global health crisis.
